We’re looking forward to Sunday, Sept. 7, AUUC’s first meal packing assembly event of this church year. As an AUUC community, we will put together 140 weekend meal packs which we will deliver to 35 children identified as experiencing food insecurity at nearby Halley Elementary School.

All children, youth, teens and helping adults are invited to participate in this social justice event that is fun, important, and quick, and will be held in the Sanctuary about 10-15 minutes after Sunday’s service. For those who haven’t assembled meal packs before, you will pick up “how it works” in minutes from our young experts.

Meal packing Sundays this church year will be held: 9/7, 10/5, 11/9, 12/7 and 1/11, 2/1, 3/1, 4/12, 5/3, 2026. Stay tuned for requests for food items donations to fill the bags in upcoming months.
