Rev. William Levwood, Minister

Rev. William Levwood (he/him) brings a passion for environmental and racial justice, LGBTQ+ advocacy, excellence in worship, including worship for all ages, and a nurturing spirit for sustaining and deepening loving community to his ministry at AUUC.

Before starting his ministry at AUUC in the fall of 2021, served in Florida’s capital as the minister of the Unitarian Universalist Church of Tallahassee and as a chaplain resident at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center in Winston Salem, North Carolina. He has a Masters of Divinity from Starr King School for Ministry and an undergraduate degree in Dance from the University of Maryland.

Rev. Levwood’s leadership — informed by his prior experiences as an improvisational dancer, early childhood educator, and chaplain is rooted in listening, collaboration, and care.

Ashley Nelson-Meiners, Director of Spiritual Development

Ashley Nelson-Meiners (she/hers) has been an avid supporter of the Unitarian Universalist Church since 2015. She has an AAS in Child Development from Northern Virginia Community College, a BA in Education Administration from Ashford University, an MA in Education/Family and Community Services from the University of Arizona, and is currently working on her Doctorate in Educational Leadership at Nova Southeastern University. Love and passion for leading and serving children and the community is her motivation for all that she does!

R.W. Carney III, Administrator

R.W. Carney III (he/him/his) handles a wide range of administrative tasks, including our membership database, church calendars, assisting with rental business, and providing general information and support for our faith community.

Brad Rinaldo, Music Director

Brad Rinaldo (he/him/his) has been working at Accotink for ten years. He has a Bachelor’s degree in piano performance from James Madison University and a Masters in piano performance from George Mason University. Aside from working at Accotink, Brad also teaches private piano lessons, conducts a choir at the Virginian assisted living facility, and sings with the Gay Men’s Chorus of Washington. In his off time, Brad enjoys cooking, weightlifting, and spending time with his friends.
