Nominate a Non-Profit for AUUC Outreach Collection

The Social Justice Committee invites you to nominate an organization to receive one of next year’s Outreach Collections. If you would like to suggest and sponsor an Outreach Collection next church year for a non-profit that is special to you and supports our UU principles, please submit an online nomination form by Wednesday, May 1st.

The nomination form requests basic information about the organization with an opportunity to explain any relationship you may have with this nonprofit. Check back next week for the link to the digital Outreach Collection Recipient Nomination Form.

Specifications: Outreach Collections support non-profit organizations in our local, regional, and wider communities that promote our Unitarian Universalist values. Organizations may be UU-related or non-UU-related.  They must:

  • Be not-for-profit [501(c) 3] organizations so that personal donations may be tax-deductible
  • Be non-partisan
  • Not be large and/or high-profile organizations that conduct mass public appeals for funds

The Social Justice Committee encourages nominations of organizations with which you, a family member, or an AUUC group has a partnership/relationship as a volunteer or where you think one could be established in the future.

Helpful guidelines: To see exactly what information is requested on the online nomination form before you access the official nomination form, click here for helpful Outreach Collection Nomination Guidelines 2024. In preparation to submitting the official online nomination form, you may use this Outreach Collection Nomination TEMPLATE 2024.

Voting will take place in coordination with AUUC’s Annual Congregational Meeting in June to select the organizations we will support next church year.

Our generosity: Since the first outreach collection in September 2001 through January 2024, AUUC has donated $304,839.43 to 79 different organizations.

Please contact Nancy D. if you have any questions about the nomination form or AUUC’s Outreach Collection program.
