Oct. 19: Homes for All VOICE Assembly

Oct. 19, 3:30 PM – 5:00 PM
Floris United Methodist Church
13600 Frying Pan Rd, Herndon, VA 20171

Mark your calendars. You can sign up Sunday. Fliers with QR codes will be available.

The Homes for All VOICE Assembly on Oct. 19 will draw hundreds of individuals from almost 50 interfaith and other VOICE member organizations in No VA (including AUUC) to meet with local and state officials to request statewide action on the housing crisis. Voters across the political spectrum are feeling the pressure of sky-high housing costs. Half of Virginians can’t afford where they live.

In this election year—with the Governor’s race and key General Assembly seats on the line—members of VOICE organizations have a chance to push housing to the top of Virginia’s political agenda. Candidates for governor, lieutenant governor and attorney general have all been invited to the Homes for All Assembly.

On Oct. 19, AUUC members will join interfaith and other institutions throughout the Northern VA area to address the crisis. They will advocate for statewide housing solutions, including allowing faith organizations to shorten the onerous, sometimes decade or longer approval process, to build housing on their land.

Please Sign Up as soon as you can. VOICE has reserved buses and if we have enough attendees (perhaps combined with another nearby religious community) VOICE can provide transportation.
