Oct. 5: NCGH/Accotink Meal Pack Assembly

What an enthusiastic and skilled crew of all ages participated last month in our first meal packing of the church year! Thanks to everyone who helped assemble the 140 meal packs and to all who donated food to fill those bags.

Food donations for our Oct. 5th meal packing are needed now, and will be greatly appreciated.  Please consider bringing in a six-pack of juice boxes, some Chef Boyardee pasta cups, mac and cheese cups, or any of the 10 specific food items we pack into the gallon bags.

It helps us plan when you use SignUp Genius to let us know ahead what food items you wish to donate by SIGNING UP HERE. Then drop them off in the bins located inside the “collection coat closet” by Sunday, 10/5/25.

As an AUUC community, we put together and deliver weekend meal packs for 35 children identified as experiencing food insecurity at nearby Halley Elementary School.

Meal packing Sundays this church year will be held: 10/5, 11/9, 12/7 and 1/11, 2/1, 3/1, 4/12, 5/3, 2026. We are excited to have our AUUC children, teens, and adults help with assembling meal packs in church after Sunday services throughout the year.

Thank you so much for your support of our No Child Goes Hungry/Accotink Program, sponsored by the Social Justice and our Children and Youth Spiritual Development Committees.
