We Help Make the Garden: A Unitarian Universalist Creation Story

Judaism has a foundational story of the liberation of an enslaved people and the formation of a new kind of society founded in freedom, justice, and compassion. Christianity’s foundational story is similar, a story of transforming hearts and resisting imperial domination. Buddhism’s foundational story is about an exemplar who shows the way to overcome suffering through enlightened practice. What is our foundational story as Unitarian Universalists? Join us as we explore our tradition’s foundational story and how it can inspire us to make the world we dream about a reality in our community and in the larger world.

Question to Ponder: “If you were to tell the story of Unitarian Universalism what would you emphasize as central to our movement?”
